Dogs adopt orphaned baby squirrel

The most adorable recovery process the internet has ever seen

While Nick Radford was out shooting photographs in the woods, he came across a baby squirrel freezing in the cold. Severely dehydrated and hypothermic, the ground squirrel was clinging to his mother, who appeared to have been killed by a car. Nick took the little guy home to save his life. He named him Apple Moonbeam.
Nick’s two dogs immediately took an interest in tiny squirrel and adopted him.

How he first found him. Freezing and hardly moving.

He scooped him up and put him in the nice, glove-lined cup holder inside of his car.

He made him a cozy home with a heading pad, paper towels, round straw thing.

His eyes weren’t opened yet.

This is where he met his new doggie parents. Maverick is an Australian Shepherd and Scout is a Blue Heeler / Border Collie mix.

Nick says both Maverick and Scout are very gentle with Apple Moonbeam.
